Debbie Briggs is a Boston-based executive search and talent consultant and founder of the firm, 8Blue Talent Partners. Her work is primarily focused in retail and consumer markets, with expertise in consumer products/services, sports and health/wellness. Her client list includes Nordstrom, VF Corporation, The Body Shop, Major League Soccer, Liberty Mutual, Sotheby’s, Revolution Foods, eBags, Zildjian, Forman Mills and Canadian Olympic Committee, in addition to many smaller, privately-held companies.
Debbie was previously an Associate Principal with Heidrick & Struggles’ Consumer & Retail Markets and Leadership Consulting practices, where she executed senior level executive search, assessment and consulting assignments for public and private companies. Prior to Heidrick & Struggles, Debbie helped start and manage a successful consumer products company, called LightWedge. She led the company’s sales, marketing and product development activities and managed customer relationships at major US retail chains including Walmart, Staples, Office Depot, Barnes & Noble, Target and Amazon. LightWedge was named to the Inc. 500 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the US in 2006 and 2008. Debbie began her career in management consulting working for Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and Booz, Allen & Hamilton.
Debbie received a B.B.A magna cum laude in Marketing from The George Washington University, where she was also a full-scholarship athlete, and she received an M.A. In Economics from New York University. She is a member of the GWU Athletic National Advisory Council and serves as the co-Chair of the Athletic Alumni Mentoring Program and is active with several philanthropic organizations in Nantucket and Boston, Massachusetts. She competes in triathlons and completed the Escape from Alcatraz Swim in 2011 and 2012. Debbie and her family live outside of Boston.
